California Poppy T-Rex

I painted this T-Rex skull with California’s signature golden poppies growing out of it for a prize giveaway. It embodied a few of my interests: plants, living things, skeletons, and play with lines and color blocks. This was sent to another state so I wanted to incorporate California vibe with bold blue color block and golden poppies. My interest in skeleton stems from a few Reading Rainbow episodes (the mummies, dinosaurs, and more) and just the fascination of how a foundation of living things look the same but the outside can look entirely different.
